Home Background Partners Treasures Map

Background

This is a joint effort from four Cultural Heritage Institutes in the Caribbean. The participating museums are the Bonaire Museum, the Harry L. Johnson Museum on Saba, the S.A.L. Mongui Maduro Library & Museum and the National Archaeological Anthropological Memory Management (NAAM) both located on the island of Curacao. This website strives to link all the heritage institutes of the Caribbean together, and to show to the world how much this region has to offer. The visitor will have the opportunity to view treasures that date back to the Caribbean colonial period and those that have been around for thousands of years, a testament to the first inhabitants of our islands.

This website is intended to share the tangible and intangible heritage of the Caribbean. It is a dream in the making, and the participants are proud to have a platform to share their national heritage with other institutes. We welcome the involvement of every cultural institute from the Caribbean and other organizations that have collections pertaining to the Caribbean region.
